I wanted to take a moment and express how blessed I feel. As some of you know, I have had a really rough few days and in some ways feel as though I may have hit rock bottom. I am learning so much about myself, my strengths, my weaknesses and my values while I am in Bali. I have been struggling with determining my direction in my business and my life and one thing that Bali will do is truly have you face these questions head on. It is the one place where one cannot blame the weather, the stress, pissed off people, high paced life or any other inconvenience for one’s bad mood or sadness. Bali simply is a beautiful place with beautiful, patient people and an amazing array of affordable spa services, raw food and juice bars, yoga studios galore and amazing weather. All of your excuses are stripped away and you are faced with the core of your problem or situation. I have been in Bali for a little over one month and I have experienced a great deal and met some truly inspirational people. Confidence is often overshadowed by the fear of being perceived as arrogant or cocky. Without having self-confidence, you are severely limiting your ability to succeed, and arguably more importantly your ability to experience happiness.
Confidence can be a self-fulfilling prophecy as those without it may fail or not try because they lack it and those with it may succeed because they have it rather than because of an innate ability.

We all have dreams. We all have things that we want to accomplish, experience and try out. My guess is you are sitting somewhere, maybe your cubicle, on a bus or metro, or classroom. You have a full day’s work ahead, or if you happen to be reading this over the weekend, it is looming Monday morning. We have all been there. The buzzer goes off and you have hit snooze one too many times. You start the day in a rush and feel like you are behind all day long. Rushing to the gym, work, day care, the grocery store and get home with little to no energy to cook, let alone think you have time to do something for *gasp* yourself. Most of us are willing to go above and beyond for those we love but when it comes to actually doing something for ourselves, we tend to cut ourselves short. While we wouldn’t bear to neglect our family, friends and children, why is it that we forget about the importance of making time for ourselves? Guilt? Lack of prioritization? This is where you need to stop and ask yourself exactly why you aren’t putting YOU first.
