We all have dreams. We all have things that we want to accomplish, experience and try out. My guess is you are sitting somewhere, maybe your cubicle, on a bus or metro, or classroom. You have a full day’s work ahead, or if you happen to be reading this over the weekend, it is looming Monday morning. You have all these dreams but your life has so many demands that they continue to get pushed to the side. This can make us start to resent our job, situation and daily grind. Does this sound familiar? If not, congratulations! Stop reading and enjoy your day. For the rest of you, read on.
I recently discovered Marie Forleo. She has this concept that she calls “IS-Ness.” She says make IS-ness your business. To be honest at first, that concept confused me. Basically, she is saying that whatever you are doing, whether it be a TPS report or you are out with your friends, you decide and commit to give it your all. Do it like you are striving for ultimate greatness. Give that TPS report all the extras and over the top results that you can offer. Since you have made the choice to commit yourself to do the job, you might as well make the most of it. When we shift our mindset from misery to drive, we enjoy the experience more, and best of all, it’s free!
I challenge you to try this mind-shift today. You don’t need to buy anything, prepare for this challenge or set aside time for it. This change all resides in you, oh beautiful one, and you have the power to make today great. You can choose to be frustrated, annoyed or complacent. That doesn’t sound like a great day to me. Leaving the office with a sense of accomplishment, pride and self-love sounds like a much better place. Why not give it a shot?
Leave me a comment and let me know how it went for you. I would love to hear your success.
