Today I am going to talk to you a little bit about budgeting. I had a friend who actually asked me, “What would you tell to someone who says she absolutely hates the word ‘budget’? And how would you get her to love the word ‘budget’?”

I said, “Oh, I have so many things I could tell you, why you should love a budget.”

And budgeting is one of those horrible, taboo words that no one wants to hear, and they think icky and restriction and absolutely zero freedom, and they actually start sometimes not being able to breathe, because they hear the word “budget” and go, no, no, no!

I’m just going to tell you this.

Budgeting, when done on purpose and with clarity and consistent action, can be one of the most beautiful, amazing, life-changing things. (highlight to tweet)

I am on a mission to spread this word, because with a budget, you can create space and intention for things you really and truly want in your life. And you can expand in abundance in a way that’s a beautiful, natural thing to do.

And on top of that, you feel this sense of calm. You feel this peace of mind knowing that where you money is going, what your money is doing for you, and making sure that every dollar has a job, and it’s not being a lazy dollar.

I’m in the middle of creating a challenge, and it actually is not going to be budgeting. But it’s going to be the big premise or foundation of why you would want to have a budget. And it’s all going to be surrounding getting clear on why you would have a budget and what your big dreams are.

So, I’m really excited. I hope you’ll join me. And in the comments below, let me know what is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word budget.

Much love to you all. xoxo
